Doesnt show speed limit on radar

Even though phone is Bluetooth connected to the Max 360 automatically, the current speed limit is not shown on the Max 360 unless the phone was unlocked and used in the car. I usually leave the phone in my jacket or pants. I dont want to take it out every time to use this feature. The radar shows that Bluetooth is connected so make the app work in background and send speed limit to the radar.
